MIX TAPE: LOVE LETTERS
Love Lifted Me
The New Testament Letters are a collection of personal correspondence between churches and early church leaders. Scholars typically divide these letters into two
groupings: The Letter of Paul (Romans - Philemon) and General Letters (Hebrews - Jude). These letters are written so that God's people, The Church, might gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for how they are to live according to God's rule and reign and how they extend the Kingdom of God here on earth.
1 John 4:7–12 NIV
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God,
because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
God is the ORIGINATOR of LOVE.
1 Corinthians 13:7 ESV
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things
LOVE does WHATEVER it takes for HOWEVER long it takes in order that others might see JESUS.
Love that ENDURES is REALISTIC
Love that ENDURES takes REGULAR RHYTHMS
Love that ENDURES continually RECOMMITS
James 1:2–4 CSB
Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let
endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking
Endurance has a purpose/vision/and end point… The CRUCIFORMED LIFE - a life formed into the likeness of Jesus.
Scripture of the Week
1 Corinthians 13:4–6 NIV
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

MID-WEEK YOUTH GROUP : "TUESDAY IS THE NEW WEDNESDAY"
We had a great turnout Tuesday night for our kick-off Mid-Week Bible Study! Thank you parents for helping make our time together so special. Keep coming and bringing your friends! This coming Tuesday we will meet again at 6:00 for a pizza dinner and games at the building followed by a bible lesson and worship from
6:30-7:30. We have began a trial of moving our student ministry mid-week gathering from Wednesday to Tuesday for the month of September. This change only affects the Youth Group classes, all other age groups will continue to meet on Wednesday, and will be reevaluated in October as to its effectiveness. Thank you for your patience and prayers as we try to bring as many students together as possible and encourage them to grow up, in and out in their relationship with Jesus. Hope you and your friends can attend some or all of our Tuesday Teen Night.
